Our Bullies are all planned breedings (french and English). Our females are tested to check their progesterone levels to insure proper breeding time. This may take two to four progesterone tests depending on the dams heat cycle. The females are then artificially inseminated from a stud that we choose for pedigree, health, temperament and confirmation. We only select a sire that will compliment the dams weakness to strengthen the breed and spare no expense to do so.( two to three procedures). This prevents diseases and protects the male and female from any injury that could occur during natural breeding.

Our Veterinarian specializes in all procedures and performs them all. His speciality is in the bullie breeds and does ALL testings,A/Is,C-Sections and care of all of our bullies.

The mother is then checked by ultra-sound on day 25 to make positive confirmation of pregnancy and delivery date.

On day 58 mother is Xrayed to check how many babies to expect and have their cribs ready .

Mom is now watched and when her temperature drops she is omitted for her C-section.(C-sections are always recommended to be performed on bullies as their heads are large and they have a difficult delivery that can cause death to mom and or babies). After several hours and clearence from her doctor the family now comes home and the fun starts.

What a blessing..... our babies are home!! Babies are now cradled into their cribs 2 in each one with a comfy blanket and heating pad. Mommy is in her own bed next to her babies resting and recuperating from her surgery.

The babies are placed like this due to their weight, their litter mates can accidentally crush one due to their weight and their nasal passages breathing is difficult if obstructed.

Mom can also crush them that is why she stays in her own bed next to them.

They sometimes accidentally lay, sit, or step on them and by keeping them separated for the first couple of weeks prevents any accidents from occurring.

We are always in the room with mom and babies and will be supervised all the time for the next 4 weeks. For the next 2 weeks we bring the babies to the mom and watch them nurse. They will feed every 2 hours night and day! Sometimes mom needs help and we bottle feed also. After feedings their nasal passages have to be suctioned to prevent them from possible suffocating, choking or pneumonia can be a problem until they eat solid foods.

We have an amazing team between the family and friends during this newborn transition. After the 2 weeks the feedings become every 3-4 hours and as they grow older and stronger the feedings become longer apart and they can be with mom when they are strong enough to move on their own if she were to lay upon them.

Our steps insure our babies are healthy and safe and will come to their new families spoiled rotten!!!

Breeding the Bulldogs (french and English) is expensive and a major commitment on your life for the next 2 months. if you love the breed as we do, you truly understand our sacrifice was minor especially when you get to witness these gorgeous puppies grow!
